A Victorian cottage lovingly restored by the owner, Tree Tops Cottage offers extremely comfortable, detached accommodation situated right by the striking 13th-century castle in the village of Cilgerran, and is very well placed to enjoy the fabulous Heritage coastline of Cardigan Bay, stretching north into Ceredigion and south into Pembrokeshire and the National Park. There are miles of tranquil, unspoilt coastline with secluded sandy coves, award-winning accessible beaches of outstanding environmental quality, towering cliffs garlanded with flowers in early summer, and islands set like jewels in clear waters where dolphins, porpoises and seals abound. Inland, the stunning landscape of the deeply wooded Teifi Valley is home to an abundance of wildlife including otters and is an anglers’ paradise, ranked as the best sea trout river in Europe. From Cilgerran you can join the river trail or visit the Welsh Wildlife and Nature Reserve, situated on Teifi Marsh with its award-winning visitor centre standing amidst nearly 300 acres. Within a short stroll of the cottage you can discover the castle which hosts various events during the high season and you may even see the annual coracle races - the one person boats native to these parts which have a history dating back thousands of years. There are pubs in the village to enjoy or you may just choose to relax back at Treetops with a drink in the garden and marvel at the stunning views from the decked terrace, directly over the Teifi Gorge - inspiration for many artists over the years, including Turner. When the evenings turn chilly, sitting by the cosy wood-burning stove in the living room will be the perfect way to rest and plan the next day’s activities. Beach 4½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Spacious living room with wood-burning stove. Spacious dining room with tiled floor. Beamed Shaker-style kitchen with slate floor. Utility with toilet. First floor (split landing): Two double bedrooms, each with 5ft bed; one with en-suite shower room (no toilet). Single bedroom. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.
