These comfortable, refurbished, barn conversions are situated on this 91-acre working farm, 4 miles from Cardigan Bay, well off the beaten track, with superb views of river and countryside. Accessing the cottages down a half mile of track, each cottage has its own patio (Rose Barn and The Coach House have their own gardens), there is a shared garden and the surrounding farmland is bounded on three sides by rolling terrain. Along the fourth side flows the Teifi – at whose mouth the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins. The river’s changeable tidal waters offer free fishing for trout and salmon, and wonderful opportunities for observing abundant bird and wildlife, including otters.
Rosehill Farm’s setting offers the best of both worlds in an outstandingly lovely area – not only the scenic seascapes of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, but also the breathtaking grandeur of the nearby Preseli Mountains. Both coast and countryside offer superb walking and riding, as well as a rich variety of bird, animal and plant life. Long stretches of steep cliffs, small sandy coves and tracts of National Trust land are features of the Pembroke shoreline to be found within 5 miles – and there are many places for swimming or launching small boats. Touring in the area can take in a wide variety of historical sites, including a Bronze Age burial chamber at Cerrig-y-Gof, 13th-century castle ruins at Cilgerran and Newcastle Emlyn and museums of weaving at Maesslyn and Drefach Felindre. Golfers will find a fine 18-hole course only 4 miles away at Gwbert on the Cardigan Bay coast where glorious scenery is an ideal accompaniment to a good game. Organic vegetables are available to purchase when in season. Shops 2 miles.

This converted early 16th-century barn has been cleverly designed in ‘upside-down’ style, with the living areas on the upper level to take advantage of the views. It has its own secure garden facing south-east, and enjoys shared use of a courtyard with steps up to further terraces. Spacious and beamed, open-plan living room with rugs on wooden floor. Farmhouse-style kitchen with dining area and electric cooker. Lower ground floor: Double bedroom (5ft bed). Twin bedroom with door to courtyard (shared with the owners). Single bedroom with additional pull-out bed. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.
