These superb converted barns are set on a 50-acre farm in a lush, green valley, with stunning views out over Lyme Bay. An area of breathtaking beauty, walk to the top field and look out over Exmouth, Dawlish, Teignmouth and the tors of Dartmoor. Or wander along private lanes to public footpaths which lead to Smugglers Cove, Teignmouth and beyond. Within 2 miles you can play golf on an 18-hole course, swim in an open-air pool, enjoy sea fishing and relax on a sandy beach. There is riding and coarse fishing 5 miles away, and at Dawlish Warren, 5½ miles, there is a 500-acre natural bird sanctuary, where you can see thousands of birds on land and overhead; the farm itself is also home to many different species, including the nationally rare cirl bunting. Within a 10-mile radius there are two racecourses, picturesque villages and fishing harbours, sandy coves and the high moorlands of Dartmoor. The Roman city of Exeter is approximately 15 miles, whilst bustling Torbay (9 miles), which encompasses Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, has theatres, a yachting marina and a selection of fine gardens to visit; in addition to Kent’s Cavern, where the remains of some of Britain’s very earliest inhabitants (dating back approximately 25,000 years) were found. Here you’ll find castles, abbeys, wildlife parks, steam trains and model railways all within easy reach, with many open throughout the year. Newton Abbot’s attractions include Bradley Manor, a 15th-century manor house set in 70-acre woodlands and meadows, the Gorse Blossom Miniature Railway and Woodland Park, and a Hedgehog Hospital at Prickley Ball Farm. Shop ½ mile, pub ¾ mile.
