Situated on the edge of the picturesque hamlet of Ridgeway Cross, guests will find Saddlestones and Old Hop Kiln Cottage both located on the Whitewells Farm Cottages site and they are the perfect location for exploring the beautiful countryside that Worcestershire has to offer. Whitewells Farm Cottages is a small development that is situated on a 2-acre wooded area, perfect for guests wishing to soak up the panoramic views of the local area. Also perfect for guests who love to travel with a dog, there is ample opportunity for guests to exercise their dog within the grounds. Due to the abundance of birds, ducks and local wildlife it is important that dogs are kept on a lead. There are also 3 garden areas in addition to the woods, which guests may like to use and relax in. Both cottages are full of charm, character and individuality. Saddlestones (ref 29904) is a detached property which has been converted from the old milking parlour and stable, and offers guests ‘upside-down living’, with the living room, kitchen and dining area on the first floor which offer fabulous views over the duck pond and surrounding countryside. As the name suggests, Old Hop Kiln Cottage (ref 29905), a semi-detached property, has been converted from an old hop kiln and retains all of the original structural features, including a circular kitchen and bathroom. The views from Old Hop Kiln Cottage are super and overlook the duck pond and lawns. Perfect for walkers and guests who enjoy cycling, Saddlestones and Old Hop Kiln Cottage are situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty amidst 10 acres of unspoilt countryside between Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Although rural and tucked away in this small development, guests will find that the area is easily accessible from most parts of the UK and is the perfect base for exploring Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, the Cotswolds and the Wye Valley. There is a plethora of NT properties to visit and the famous Malvern Hills are only a short distance away offering guests the most fabulous panoramic views right across three counties and beyond. There is also the small village of Cradley, within easy walking distance, which offers a post office and local store. Attractions including the Three Counties Showground, theatre, swimming pool and clay pigeon shooting can all be found in nearby Malvern, as well as a host of good quality restaurants, pubs and cafes. The market town of Ludlow in Shropshire is only a 45-minute drive away and also offers guests the opportunity to sample some Michelin starred food in one of the many top quality restaurants that this area has to offer. Known as a ‘foodie destination’, Ludlow also has an annual food festival which is well worth a visit. Hereford and Worcester offer a great selection of restaurants, historical attractions including cathedrals and churches, river cruises and excellent shopping facilities, and can be reached within an easy 25-minute drive. The magnificent Cotswolds are also within easy driving distance and is a ‘must’ visit location for guests who love to walk, ramble, cycle or just enjoy a cream tea in one of the many tea shops that line the high streets of the popular villages, including, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water. A central base for visiting Bristol, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Cheltenham, Birmingham and Shrewsbury (all within 1 hour’s drive). Several golf courses are within 20 minutes’ drive, the nearest 10 minutes away. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
