This terraced holiday cottage lies less than 50 yards from a long sandy beach and its expansive grassy foreshore; and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, including views of Ailsa Craig and on a clear day, the Mull of Kintyre. Maidens is a lovely little coastal village situated around the shores of Maidenhead Bay on the charming Clyde coast, which offers a range of amenities including a local shop, post office, restaurant, hotel, harbour and even a horse riding centre. This corner of south west Ayrshire is renowned for its unspoilt scenery and particularly mild climate throughout the year. There are excellent golf courses, including the world-famous Turnberry, one mile, along with many other 18-hole golf courses nearby. At the heart of Burns Country, Maidens is just a short walk along the shore to Ayrshire’s most popular tourist attraction Culzean Castle, part of the National Trust for Scotland, with woods, walks and lakes; and is close to the vast Galloway Country Park for hill walkers and nature lovers.
