This detached converted chapel dates back to the 19th century, and is peacefully situated in the small hamlet of Upper Vobster, which consists of a few houses and a no-through road. The chapel has been sympathetically renovated, keeping many of its original features and stained glass windows throughout. It has a pretty, private terrace and enclosed lawned garden, with the added feature of a large field behind, which belongs to the chapel, accessed along a footpath to the side. This is an ideal holiday base for dog walking and country walks towards the nearby villages of Mells , Vobster, the local pubs and just opposite, are the Mendip Hills. Close by is the Vobster Quay diving centre, an old quarry filled with ruins. There are many places of interest within a short drive, including Longleat Safari Park, Bath and West Showgrounds, Babington House, the city of Bath, the caves and gorge at Cheddar, the UK’s smallest city of Wells with its magnificent cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, and the market towns of Frome, Shepton Mallet and Warminster. Mostly on B roads and country lanes, this cycle route comes in at just under 9 miles. There are a couple of steep inclines so it can be quite tough going in places. However, the lovely setting makes it all worth while!
This 36 mile route passes Cheddar. It's not an easy route as there are some steep hill climbs and lots of twists and turns but it does travel through woodland which offers a pleasant change of scenery and a chance to vary the sights and sounds of the trail.

The Severn Bridges visitors centre provides a wealth of information focused on the Severn Bridge (Pont Hafren) and the Second Severn Crossing (Ail Groesfan Hafren). The centre originally opened in 1998, boasting a large collection of information on traffic, history, local weather and tolls. Car parking is available at the centre which is located near a public cycling and walking path.
