The facility is set on 15 acres of stunning countryside, the land has been especially designed for disc golf. Disc Golf is a fantastic sport for all ages and abilities, it allows you to get out in the fresh air, mingle and most importantly it is fun. The course here at Quarry Park has been built so that it can accommodate both beginners to the game and pros. What is also great about this game is that it can be done in groups, they can cater for groups of up to ten and you can just turn up and play, it is not necessary to book. To play disc golf you just need to turn up and visit the pro shop where you can hire/buy all the equipment needed, they have thousands of disc to choose from. You are given an instruction on how to hold and throw the disc, a map and scorecard and off you go. Quarry Park Disc Golf makes for a great fun day out and the staff here make the experience wonderful, they are so friendly and enthusiastic about the sport. It is not a particularly long course and is quite hilly, there are some beautiful holes and stunning views as you walk around. You will find the greens and fairways throughout the course to be in great condition, they are well maintained, and the bunkers are well stocked. The course itself is challenging but fair and will therefore, appeal to high and low handicaps. They extend a friendly welcome to all visitors and you are immediately made to feel at home here. Jephson Gardens is a stunning oasis in the heart of Leamington Spa, it is a haven of peace and tranquillity and a welcome retreat for both locals and visitors to the area. These Victorian gardens can be dated back to 1831 and today are Grade II listed on the English Heritage register. The gardens and planting here are immaculate, and they are so well maintained. Throughout the year the floral displays are so vibrant and the aromas that waft through the air are delicious. In addition to the stunning planting, there are lots more to enjoy including, the Glasshouse that has an impressive selection of tropical plants and a goldfish pond. The Restaurant in the Park is open for lunches and dinner and serves a good selection of hot and cold dishes, that are tasty and good value for money. There is also a cafe where you can stop for some light refreshments. It is interesting to read the memorials to past citizens to the town and also take time to see the various carvings around the gardens, they are quite intriguing. The lake has benches placed around it where you can watch the ducks and geese or just sit back in relax in the lovely tranquil surroundings. There is a play area in the Mill Gardens where, children can have hours of enjoyment in the sand pit and playing on the swings, slides and climbing frames. It is also nice to take a relaxing riverside walk, or go boating on the River Leam, the boat centre is located in the Mill Gardens. With lots of gentle walks and lots to see and do Jephson Gardens offer a lovely day out for everyone.
HIllfield Gardens have a long and interesting history, particurarly with regard to leprosy and disease control in the city, and can be dated back to around 1869. These secluded gardens were planted to compliment the intricate Victorian Hillfield House that stood on these grounds. Today a lot of work is been undertaken to bring them back to their former glory, they still provide a place of beauty and an air of peace and tranquillity within, the town. Within the garden there are three mature Redwood trees, a champion oak and some of the oldest surviving trees to be found in Gloucester. In addition there are three important historical monuments: Scriven's Conduit, the King's Board and the chancel of the 12th century leper chapel of St Mary Magdalene. During a recent archaeological dig they have uncovered the remains of a Roman road and there are lots of ancient gravestones that make for interesting reading. They are a number of events that take place in the grounds during the year including music concerts. Hillfield Gardens provide a nice choice of walks and lots of room for young children to run free, climb and explore, they provide for a fun and enjoyable environment for all.

The facility features 9 spacious acres with more than 150 trees that form lofty canopies for the facility's beloved feathered residents.
Imagination Street is an indoor childrens play centre that offers a safe and fun environment. They are located in Bromsgrove, in a modern, bright and airy building. There is lots for younger visitors to enjoy here with a fabulous play frame complete with a huge slide, zip wires and ball pools, there is also a baby sensory room, interactive football zone, imagination zone, Playstation and library room, dressing up as well as a formula one race track, it is crammed full of fun things to do. Generally open from June to August when the lavender is in bloom, you are welcome to come and walk the fields and distillery. The harvest will take place when the crop is ready and this cannot be predetermined, it then needs to be distilled immediately after cutting, it is only on these times that the distillery will actually be operational. Located in a splendidly renovated Cotswold Stone barn on the premises are the lovely Gift Shop and Tea Rooms. The Gift Shop stocks the complete range of products they sell from lavender plants, dry lavender bunches, the best English Lavender Essential Oils and their best seller the Slumber Gel, there are loads more products available here. Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden are dedicated to the memory of a local, Ernest "Chinese" Wilson who became a well known plant hunter who operated from the USA, his expeditions took him all over China, Japan, Korea and much of Asia. The gardens offer a place of peace and tranquillity in Chipping Campden, they are beautiful and well maintained. You will find some unusual and rare plants here that were originally brought back from Asia, they are all labelled which, is helpful. In fact he introduced more than 1,200 species of trees and shrubs. There is a story board that illustrates the life and exploits of Ernest Wilson in China, and his later years, it is very informative and interesting. The gardens are hidden away behind a brick wall that faces the high street and is accessed via a little Tudor archway. There are lots of benches where you can sit and enjoy the calming atmosphere. The gardens rely on donations and there are boxes for contributions. If you are interested in plants and trees and want to know where they came from and when they were brought into the country you will find all this and more here at the Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden. The Court Barn is an old tithe barn that itself is interesting but, housed in this historic structure is an exhibition relating to the Arts and Crafts movement in Chipping Campden. The exhibits on show are well presented and are all relevant to the local area or by local artists showcasing their works and talent. The staff here are very friendly and enthusiastic and really enhance your visit to the Court Barn. It is an intimate venue but the quality of work on display is fantastic and there are some really nice and unique items available to purchase. There are some interesting videos that demonstrate how certain items are made. It does not take you very long to get around the museum but, nevertheless it is interesting and informative and throws considerable light on the Arts and Crafts movement and its legacy here in the Cotswolds. If you are in the area then a visit to the court Barn Museum is worthwhile.
The Old Silk Mill offers a cooperative of more than twenty artists and craftspeople a venue to showcase their crafts and talents in this historic building. The Old Silk Mill is also known as the home of C.R Ashbee's world acclaimed Guild of Handicraft who inhabited the property from 1902 to 1908. There continues to be a representative of the Guild at the Old Silk Mill through Hart Goldmiths and Silversmiths and you can see these and other artists at work here, it is like stepping back in time. In addition they are more than happy to discuss their work with you. The Old Silk Mill provides the perfect conditions to exhibit these works in a bright and airy environment with a welcoming atmosphere. West Park is a Victorian municipal park that encompasses around 43 acres and includes a lake and beautifully landscaped green spaces. It is ideally located close to the city centre and is thought to be one of the finest, natural Victorian parks remaining in England. It original purpose was to serve as an area for certain sporting activities namely, bowls, archery and cricket. Today it still serves the community and has tennis courts and a bowling green other features include, a boating lake, children's play area, heated Victorian conservatory that is open from 10am to 4pm most days except Tuesday and Wednesdays. Annually they produce about 9 shows for the main auditorium and less for the smaller Douglas Ford studio theatre. They engage in all aspects of theatrical styles from classic to modern, tragedy to comedy and musical theatre. Everyone will find a production here that will appeal to them. This intimate theatre is a bit dated but it has a welcoming and casual atmosphere and there is a theatre bar where you can enjoy a drink throughout and after the show. It is a busy venue and hosts in excess of 2300 events and performances a year of music, drama, dance, mime, comedy, film, visual arts and literature. Films are shown throughout the year, other events are generally shown during the three University terms. The bookshop has a large stock of books that cater to everyone, and even has a children's section. The Mead Gallery is a vast and beautiful designated contemporary art gallery that displays a highly respected catalogue of international and contemporary art. When it comes to eating or drinking on the premises there are plenty of choices with two bars and Le Gusta Oven and Bar that serves a selection of pizzas, tapas and favourites such as Bangers and Mash. Warwick Arts Centre is a centre of excellence for the arts and definitely worth a visit, check to see what is taking place here.
Echills Wood Railway is a 7 1/4" gauge track, that operates both steam and diesel locomotives, it is located at Kingsbury Water Park. The railway is open every Sunday from 11.00am to about 15.30pm, the hours can be longer in the summer months. The running of the trains is dependent on weather conditions. The fares are very reasonable, a single ticket is £1 and the length of the journey is 1km and lasts about 7 minutes, a return journey is £2 and the ride is 2 kilometres and takes about 15-20 minutes. The train ride is excellent fun, you go over bridges and through tunnels and there are even audio signals. Take time to visit the Station Masters Garden Railway which, is located at the rear of the main Harvesters station on EWR. The railway runs on most normal operating days, using a range of models powered by either battery or live steam on a 32mm gauge track. You can take the opportunity to drive your own model train here but, need to arrange in advance with EWR. Echills Wood Railway operate a number of different events throughout the year with Santa specials and Halloween events, they are very popular and do get busy so need to be booked well in advance. The smell of the steam and sounds of the locomotives is very comforting and nostalgic. Echills Wood Railway is a fun activity that everyone can enjoy and so reasonable too, the ride is thoroughly enjoyable, highly recommended.
Gloucester Archives is the place to come if looking to get information on former residents, local and family history resources relating to Gloucestershire. The archives are available to the public and can be accessed in the public research room here. Records here go back as far as 1100 right through to present day and include millions of records that have been donated or loaned to Gloucester Archives, it is one of the foremost preserved collections in Britain. The centre is open Tuesday through to Friday and a half day on a Saturday, and there is no charge although donations are appreciated to enable them to keep the service open. The public research room and facilities do not require advance booking you can just call in however, you will need recognised identification and are required to complete a registration form. The Barn Owl Centre opens it doors to visitors every Saturday from 11am to 5pm, although the predominant role of the centre is the conservation and wildlife of bird welfare. The centre is in its infancy and has a way to go to get to its final stage but this does not detract from the important role they provide. The centre specialises in looking and caring for barn owls and birds of prey, they are kept in superb conditions and are so well tended for. What is immediately evident from the staff here is there unwavering dedication and enthusiasm they have to these stunning birds. Their enthusiasm is infectious and they are so friendly and knowledgeable they manage to engage everyone and you learn so much during your time here. There are a number of experiences and products on offer including the opportunity to interact with these majestic birds during a unique nature experience, or during the barn/hawk owl experience you can learn how to fly these birds, the groups are kept small to ensure everyone gets time to hold the birds. There are plenty of photo opportunities but, if you are a keen photographer then the photography day will be perfect for you. You can also adopt one of these amazing birds as a gift for yourself or a present, it is a great way to help support the centre and the birds. Kingsbury Water Park is a first class water attraction in Warwickshire, it is located in 600 acres of country park and contains 15 lakes. The Big Play Barn is located in Middleton, near Tamworth, it offers a a safe and friendly environment for children to play in. It consists of a large play area that has slides, ball pits, rope bridges and much more. Outside the fun continues with a giant outdoor pillow, water zorbing and giant inflatable obstacle course obviously these are dependent on the weather. Often there are activities taking place that the children can get involved in. There is plenty of seating available both inside and outside where you can sit and observe. The venue is clean and well maintained and the facilities are excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The cafe is welcoming and has a nice selection of freshly made home cooked light lunches and hot and cold dishes as well as cakes and ice creams. They are open daily from 9.30am to 6.30pm and prices are very reasonable. It is very popular so can get busy but still offers plenty of opportunity for the children to run around and have fun. The Big Play Barn is a great family attraction whatever the weather, children can let off steam in a safe and fun environment whilst you relax with a coffee. Highly recommended a great friendly attraction with loads on offer to keep children entertained.

Grevel House is located at the north end of Campden, and is the town's oldest house. This historic house was the home of William Grevel and is the first great wool mansion, having chimneys as opposed to just holes in the roof. William Grevel was one of the country's most effective wool merchants. At the time his home would have been surrounded by wattle and daub huts, so you get a perspective of his immense wealth. Unfortunately you can't get inside the house but can admire its beauty from outside.
St James' Church is a prominent landmark here in Chipping Camden and this majestic church has been standing here since the 1400's, and can be seen for miles around. It is a renowned Perpendicular Wool church and one of the finest examples in England. There are cards available to allow you to take a self guided tour, it will not take you very long to see this church nevertheless it is still interesting with many lovely features, including medieval altar frontals, medieval cope, stone sculptures, stained glass windows, tapestries and works of silk. Outside there is an old graveyard and the headstones and tombs make for interesting reading and there are some lovely views out over the stunning surrounding countryside. The church relies on donations for its upkeep so there are boxes around where you can make a donation. If you get to hear the organ being played it is a mesmerising sound. A wonderful historic house in Much Marcle. Whilst this manor house is open to the public during the summer months it is still inhabited and therefore has a unique quality over other stately homes. However, whilst not a museum, the displays for viewing are breathtaking. From paintings and furniture to the decorations around the house, there is something everyone will enjoy and appreciate.
As well as permanent collections of paintings, the social history of Cheltenham and very rare Chinese and English pottery, the museum holds special exhibitions throughout the year.
Bantock House is situated in 43 acres of parkland and is enclosed by lovely formal gardens. The house has underwent considerable care and restoration to bring it back to its original glory and now it is a valuable part of the history of Wolverhampton. The house offers the opportunity to delve into the history of the town and its people during the Edwardian period, through exhibits. The former home of the Bantock family it is has a delightful interior and many fine features including, carved oak panelled rooms, decorative glass, tiles and period furnishings influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. On display in the house are a diverse collection of items not least locally made enamels, japanned ware, papier mache, jewellery, toys, dolls and pre-Raphaelite paintings. To entertain the younger visitors there are a range of activities taking place all over the house and lots of exhibits that you can touch and even costumes to try on. The Dutch gardens, sunken garden and rose gardens are all beautiful and absolutely stunning when in full bloom and the scents that permeate the air are gorgeous. The courtyard cafe is cosy and inviting and serves a nice choice of beverages and homemade food, The museum shop is a nice place to stop before leaving to pick up a memento or gift, they have a good choice of cards, gifts and traditional children's toys. The staff are very friendly and informative and happy to impart their knowledge about the house and the towns history. Bantock House Museum is open throughout the year, there are different opening times for winter and summer and you can get details from the website. There is no charge for entry to Bantock House Museum although donations are welcome. Bantock House will appeal to all ages and makes for a fun and interesting family day out in beautiful surroundings.
Wightwick Manor Gardens is a stunningly beautiful house that celebrates the Arts and Crafts movement. In 1937 Geoffrey Mander MP convinced the National Trust to acquire a house that was just fifty years old at the time but, was already an artefact of a past era owing to the style in which his parents had decorated its interiors, influenced by William Morris and his Arts and Crafts colleagues. The house is very interesting and has lots of lovely furniture. Geoffrey and his wife continued to live in the house as its live-in curators and continued to enhance the collection of art in the house by adding a stunning compilation of Pre-Raphaelite paintings by Rossetti, Millais, Byrne-Jones and their followers. You can take a guided tour of the house, you will find the guides to be friendly, informative and animated about the house, family and its history making for an interesting and informative tour. The gardens are beautiful, they are delightful to walk around and so peaceful and also have picnic areas for your enjoyment. There is also a lovely tea shop that is warm and inviting, it is located in a converted stable block and has some nice features like old saddles and other items of memorabilia, it serves a delightful selection of refreshments, hot and cold meals and light snacks, all reasonably priced. The shop has an unusual selection of gifts and souvenirs to take home with you. Wightwick Manor and Gardens are open throughout the year, although on certain days the house might be closed so best to check the website first. In addition they run events throughout the year and again you can get these dates from the website. Wightwick Manor Gardens is a delightful house full of history and lots of interesting features the perfect place for a day out.
Fascinating Selly Manor dates as far back as the 1300s. This important historic site was originally named as the Bournbrook's manor house where the Jouette family lived. The construction featured oak beams with mortice and tension joints. The manor later divided into multiple family homes before being painstakingly dismantled and re-assembled as a museum.
A wonderful museum with much to see, including lots of rare artefacts from Wellingtons and other aircraft. In addition it features a unique collection of Royal Airforce treasures, records and photographs and a village history.
New Hall Mill is one of only two that still survive in the Birmingham region. This privately-owned landmark is a registered charity. The mill is surrounded by the New Hall Valley country park, but it is not technically a part of the park. The building has been restored to bring it back to working condition. Some portions of the structure date as far back as the 18th century.

This castle stands in 12 acres of lavish gardens. There is a maze with a Gothic tower at its centre and an underground tunnel that leads to a waterfall in the sunken garden. Gloucester Folk Museums is an important stop in the historical tour of the city and they have a comprehensive programme of events, that incorporates talks, tours, clubs, exhibitions and activities. The programme is continually changing so it is always worth checking to see what will be taking place. The museum is located in a gorgeous Tudor building and is over several levels and there are some narrow sections as well, so it might not be accessible for all. The museum is filled to the roof with lots of interesting items that cover the history of days gone by and Gloucester. Some of the permanent features includes the cobbler's shop, World War artefacts and equipment, a room from the 60's in London, old farming equipment and tools as well as a stake where Bishops were burnt! There are lots to keep smaller visitors occupied as well with activities, like brass rubbings, questionnaires to complete and old toys to see, colouring and a play area. The exhibits are well displayed and have lots of information on them. Although there is no cafe onsite you can access a catering area and make your own drink from a pod or take a picnic to enjoy in the lovely garden area. The staff are friendly and helpful and are available if you have any queries. Gloucester Folk Museum is a gem of a museum a real treasure throve just waiting to be discovered, lots to see and interest everyone, highly recommended.
Gloucester Waterways Museum is located in a Grade II listed warehouse in the centre of the docks here in Gloucester. The museum communicates the story of the canals and rivers. There are a number of interactive exhibits, you get the opportunity to clamber aboard historic boats, watch the archive films and wander amongst the many exhibits and displays portraying the rich canal history, some of the objects have been classified of national importance. There are lots of information on the displays and artefacts and the lives of those who lived and worked on these waterways is well interpreted. It is a great place to visit with small children they get the opportunity to dress up as waterway children and can enjoy the interactive canal lock exhibit, do jigsaws and brass rubbings being just some of the fun things they can do. Throughout the year they operate a number of different events, so it is worth checking to see what is taking place. In addition from Easter through to September you can take one of the popular canal and river cruises, they vary in length and time and incorporate trips to Tewksbury, Saul Junction and Sharpness and include good commentaries. Gloucester Waterways Museum is an ideal day out for all the family as there are areas to interest everyone and the entrance fees are reasonable and there are lots of options available if you want to include a boat trip etc.

St Michaels Tower stands impressively at the tallest point of Gloucester city, and strategically where the four main streets cross, it is a familiar landmark on the city's horizon. It stands 25 metres tall and can be dated as far back as 1465, and has seen many changes and events throughout the years. The tower has recently underwent considerable improvements to become a tower of learning where visitors and locals can delve into the Gloucester's abundant and diverse history. You can take an audio trail whereby you can discover the heritage of the city in your own time, see heritage films that include personal accounts and memories on film, there are a number of exhibits on display during the year. There is also the opportunity to take a guided tour they are inexpensive, and run by friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides who are happy to impart their considerable knowledge. The tower itself has many interesting features including the stone carvings, stained glass windows, ancient graffiti. St Michaels Tower is the centre in the town for history tours and a great place to start, providing lots of information and things to see.
St Mary de Crypt Church is an important and historical part of the Sunday School movement, and dates back to 1137. What is different about this church is the fact it has a crypt, it is only one of the twelve mediaeval churches known to have a crypt, and the crypt here is completely occupied with burial vaults. It is a pretty church has numerous interesting features such as the old Crypt schoolroom, Master Accommodation, Lancet Windows, wall paintings and stained glass windows. The church is open throughout the summer Monday to Friday from 11.00am to 3.00pm to allow visitors to look around, and there is no charge. You will find the volunteers to be friendly, helpful and informative they are very obliging and are happy to point things out and answer questions you may have. It has had a number of well known pupils attend the school here over the years too. St Mary de Crypt Church is a delightful historical gem and certainly worth taking the time to visit you will be surprised by all there is to see and learn.
Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum is a visitor experience that gives an actual insight into the life of soldiers and their families during the past three hundred years. The Gloucester Regiment has been involved in many important and memorable battles over the years. It is an intimate museum and if you follow the layout properly you are brought from past to present day, in the chronology of war. The majority of the exhibits are permanent however, there are a number of temporary exhibits that frequently change so always something new to see during a visit here. One of their new exhibits is the Modern Army Display, here you can get an idea of what it was like to serve in Afghanistan, see the newest equipment, feel the weight of the body armour and the pack, see if you can visualise what it would be like to carry these into extreme temperatures. There are some interactive exhibits, firearms, medals and uniforms on displays, a great mock up of a tank encampment and all exhibits are well laid out and presented and overall the museum is very informative and interesting, it is a real tribute to all service men. There is a charge to visit this museum but it is worth the small fee considering the quality of the exhibits. You do not have to be interested in military history to enjoy the Soldiers of Worcestershire Museum it gives a wonderful insight into soldiers lives and tells some extraordinary stories, definitely worth a visit.

Moseley Old Hall is a 16th century farmhouse that has an integral role in history, it was the place that King Charles II hid after he escaped from Cromwell's troops during the Battle of Worcester in 1651. It is an intriguing house full of original furniture and features, and in many instances it looks like it is still being lived in and the house is further brought to life by the staff who are dressed in period clothes using original equipment and tools. During your visit you will get to see the bed where the King slept as well as seeing the priest hole where he hid. The tour guides will bring the history of the house to life and they regale interesting stories about what life was like in the 17th century, you will find the guides to be friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the house. The gardens are stunning and have lots of lovely features including, a collection of 17th century plants, a fruit orchard and a stunning knot garden as well as the tree hide. There is a tea room that serves a lovely selection of refreshments and light lunches. The Electric Railway Museum is a charity run attraction with the purpose of bolstering the heritage of all electric trains in the United Kingdom, all staff are volunteers who have a real interest in this area. This promotion is achieved by traction and rolling stock renovation, display and operation together with efforts in collating historically pertinent technical and photographic archives. On site here is the biggest collection of conserved electric trains in the United Kingdom, they comprise of industrial, electric locomotives, surburban multiple units, Edwardian underground train carriage bodies to high speed express trains. During your visit you will find all about the impact the railways have had on the growth and development of the country through the rich collection of exhibits. A new attraction to the site is a 7 1/4 inch gauge miniature railway that offers rides to all visitors.
Holy Trinity Church has a long history extending to almost one thousand years, it is amazing that due to the huge efforts of Rev Graham Clitheroe that it survived the relentless bombings of 14 November 1940. The church is open daily to the public for those who wish to enter to pray and for solace, many people visit this historic building to appreciate the architecture and artefacts such as the font and pulpit, and the Bishop's Bible that can be dated to 1568. The renowned mediaeval painting of the Last Judgement is a large attraction as are the beautiful stained glass windows. Coventry Transport Museum is a truly interesting and fascinating day out, so if you are looking for a free family fun day out then this is definitely the place to go. Covering all aspects of the growth and development of transport from roads, bicycles to cars and much more, it spans a period of 150 years. A popular attraction here is the ThrustSSV which holds the record for the fastest land speed, if you want a feel of what it is like to drive at an incredible speed you can have a go in the World Land Speed Record Simulator, there is a small charge per person. There are more than 240 cars on show, commercial vehicles and buses, 94 motorcycles, 200 cycles, 25,000 models and approximately 1 million items of memorabilia, all housed in 14 exhibition galleries. With so much to see and do the museum has compiled a list of 20 items you must see on your visit known as the Star Vehicles, they will be marked as you go through the museum. For a small charge per person they operate guided tours that last approximately 1 hour ideal for those restricted for time, you are then free to explore at your own leisure. Chillington has been the home of the Giffards for more than 800 years. The present owner is the 29th Giffard to own the Hall. There has been a dwelling on the site since the Doomsday Book records in 1086, but over time the building has been replaced and modified until the grand spectacle of today is all that exists.
