High in the North Pennines on Alston Moor an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Field Barn has been converted to provide a charming, detached holiday home. Retaining the old beams and adding modern facilities the cottage is off the beaten track and makes a delightful cosy retreat just for two. There are many miles of peaceful footpaths and cycle routes and the scenery is spectacular. There is easy road access to Weardale, Teesdale and the Lake District. Hadrian’s Wall and the Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach. The market town of Alston is 3 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub 1 mile.
Ground floor: 1 double (5ft) bedroom with French doors. Shower room with toilet. Steep, narrow stairs to first floor: Living room with sofa bed (alternative sleeping only)/dining room/kitchen. Beams and wooden floors throughout.
