This four-storey apartment is set just off the main cobblestone street in the heart of Alston, England’s highest market town at 1,000ft above sea level. This spacious holiday home is well presented and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and even has a games room with board games in the attic to keep the little ones entertained.

Surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Alston is remote, being 20 miles from any other towns but is ideal for those wanting to explore Durham, Northumberland, the Yorkshire Dales, Scottish Borders and the Lake District. Hadrian’s Wall is a short distance away along one of England’s top ten scenic drives and there are many exhibition and viewpoints along the Heritage Site. Alston has quaint cobbled streets and various shops, galleries and good pubs and restaurants and is the starting point for the South Tynedale Railway, England’s highest narrow gauge railway. You can also travel the famous, scenic Settle to Carlisle line from nearby Langwathby station.
