Tawny Cottage is a detached, single-storey, water-frontage holiday property with its own private mooring and superb views over the River Thurne and National Trust wildlife reserve. For the fisherman, this part of the Broads offers some of the best coarse fishing anywhere in the UK (fishing licence required). For the nature enthusiast, everything is on the doorstep with bird watching, walking, cycling and boat hire all available locally. Winterton-on-Sea, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a short drive away with its wonderful sandy beaches and dunes, and its north beach is home to a colony of grey seals. BeWILDerwood is an outdoor adventure park at Horning and offers a tree house, zip wires, jungle bridges and more, and is an ideal day out for the children. Alternatively, spend a day out in the fine city of Norwich, with its cathedrals, castle, museums, theatres and a vast array of cafes and shops. National Trust properties worth visiting in the region include Horsey Wind Pump, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall and Gardens. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
