Nestling peacefully in the charming village of Mathry with its Welsh pub and tea room, this traditional Pembrokeshire long barn has been converted to a very good standard, and lies just a stone’s throw away from the delightful Abermawr Bay. Swallows Lodge, originally built in 1650, offers comfort and space, and is set on the edge of Pembrokeshire’s iconic National Park. The former dairy barn has been lovingly restored to provide guests with an unforgettable holiday experience. Remarkable attention has been taken to ensure all the character and charm has been retained including exposed beams, stone walls, arrow slit windows and oak and limestone floors. It has been decorated in neutral tones with quality furnishings and a well-equipped, bespoke kitchen. The open-plan living room boasts an impressive vaulted beamed ceiling, whilst a wood-burning stove has been added to provide guests with a wonderful cosy ambience at any time of year. Home to rugged cliffs, golden beaches and wild inland hills, the area has lots to offer. The quaint, historic city of St Davids is within easy reach, and is renowned for its magnificent 12th century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops Palace. The beaches of Whitsands, Newgale and Abereiddi are well worth a visit, where there are hidden rock pools, impressive surfing and water sports activities. The ancient town of Newport is close by, featuring two beautiful beaches with a selection of gift shops, traditional pubs, restaurants and cafés beneath the shadows of mount Carningli, a famous hilltop rich with myths and legends. For a relaxing day out, visit the beautiful harbour villages of Solva and Portgain, encased in their tranquil fishing harbours and featuring a variety of gift shops, art galleries and highly acclaimed seafood restaurants, with freshly caught fish of the day always on the menu. Beach 3 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Large beamed living room with wood-burning stove and wooden floor. Spacious, beamed, well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room with limestone floor. Two double bedrooms, one with 5ft bed and en-suite shower room with toilet. Bunk bedroom. Bathroom with toilet.
