Nestled in the heart of the Norfolk Broads between Wroxham and Wroxham Broads, opposite a woodland bank, Southover boasts a truly enviable location with stunning water views from the living room and spacious balcony on three sides. A detached holiday property, which has been re-thatched, the house has been converted and refurbished to the highest of standards with a lawned garden, which meets the water’s edge where there is a private mooring available. A 5-seater boat with unsinkable hull is also available for guests to use. It is licensed to carry 5 passengers plus luggage and can be used once one passenger has been shown how to use the life jacket. There is also a large boathouse and a hot tub completes this lovely property. The Broads are a paradise for nature lovers and are the most important wetlands in Europe, with ducks, geese and swans, as well as a host of other birdlife including herons and spoonbills. The most obvious and popular choice of exploring this stunning area is by boat, but an alternative is to cycle the many paths, the most famous being Weaver Way – a 56 mile long path which winds through the Broads on its way to Cromer and Great Yarmouth. For those who enjoy golf, the nearest course can be found at Sprowston (6 miles), or the Norwich and Cromer Golf Course is easily accessible. Norwich, 8 miles, famous for its cathedral, castle and museums as well as bars and restaurants. A day by the sea is a must and with so many beautiful sandy beaches found along the Norfolk coast only 11 miles, visitors are spoilt for choice. Many National Trust properties can be found with Bickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall to name just two. Shops 1 mile, pub ½ mile.
