With a quiet private drive, in the middle of Charlestown with a peaceful garden, is the setting for this quaint holiday cottage, set within a World Heritage Site. The village of Charlestown is home to tall sailing ships moored in the harbour and the regular location for many TV and film sets including Poldark. It is a bustling village with great local pubs, cafes, galleries and restaurants, as well as a harbour and sandy beach. A shipwreck museum with a collection of artefacts from Titanic is always popular. The South West Coastal Path provides stunning views and skirts the village along the beach and the dramatic cliffs. There are many National Trust houses and private gardens nearby, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the renowned Eden Project are a must for all. There are many activities available nearby from deep sea fishing to kayaking and the latest water based craze of stand up paddle boarding. There are 2 golf courses within 1 mile and cycling, swimming and surfing on the nearby north coast. There are many local beaches to enjoy that all important English seaside holiday such as Porthpean, Carlyon Bay and Polkerris, with many of them having beach bars and cafes and often live music. Enjoy dinner looking out to sea whilst listening to local artists. A short drive will bring you to Fowey, Lostwithiel, Newquay, Padstow and the north coast, a mecca for surfing and a completely different coastline for you to explore.
