This detached holiday cottage is perched overlooking the working harbour with amazing sea views over the beach, out to sea, and the village. Lanroc House, circa 1820, is at the very heart of this bustling, traditional, Cornish fishing village. Close to the centre and the array of local shops, pub, galleries and various eateries. Port Isaac is famous for many things, including being the set of ’Doc Martin’, the popular TV show, and home to the renowned ’Fisherman’s Friends’ who you may be lucky to catch giving an impromptu performance on the quay on a Friday night. The village has a small and pretty beach dotted with fishing boats, and is the perfect spot to relax and buy the catch of the day. Nathan Outlaw, a twice Michelin star chef, has opened a bistro in the village serving the best fish from local, inshore fishing boats. Padstow for Rick Stein’s many eateries, and Polzeath for great surf, are only a few minutes away as is Tintagel, legendary home to King Arthur’s Camelot. Bodmin Moor, home of Jamaica Inn, is ideal for walking and riding. Sea fishing trips, golf, surfing and cycling are all catered for nearby, making Lanroc House the perfect Cornish getaway.
