This attractive detached holiday home sits within its own secluded gardens/balcony within shared 1-acre grounds with access to a shared badminton court. Kittiwake sits above the pretty hamlet of Portmellon on the beautiful south Cornwall coast. The house has panoramic sea views across the bay towards Fowey; the rolling green fields tumble down to the front door. The sandy beach is a short stroll down the lane, and provides all that guests need for that special family day. The Cornish Coastal Path passes close to the house and leads you to the village of Gorran Haven to the west and Megavissey to the east. The beaches of Portmellon and Gorran Haven have free boat launching and Kittiwake has ample space to store boats. The area lends itself to exploring Cornwall, as Portmellon is situated close to the Roseland Peninsula and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, with its local farm shop, as well as the world-famous Eden Project, a must for all the family. For the active guests this area has plenty to offer, from sailing, kayaking, cycling, sea fishing and horse riding - all of which are available nearby. Shopping, pretty cafes, a local award-winning spa and fine dining are also available. Explore gardens and old country houses, as some of the country’s finest are all within driving distance, together with some wonderful beaches, many of which are almost totally unchanged. A special attraction is Caerhays Castle and gardens, a grand house overlooking a pretty secluded beach, a real local secret and must-see. A ferry runs from nearby Mevagissey to Fowey, a great favourite as visitors can see the whole of this spectacular bay and dramatic coastline from the sea. Beach 400 yards. Shop ¾ mile, pub 500 yards.

Double bedroom with 5ft bed and TV. Twin bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor: Vaulted, beamed living/dining room with oak floors, sea views and French doors to balcony with access to gravelled courtyard. Kitchen with gas/electric range (for cooking).
