These two, single storey barns (refs 29635 and 29636) converted from an old grain store and grain mill, provide the perfect holiday accommodation to explore this quiet and secluded corner of Cornwall, but are only a short drive from the coastal town of St Mawes and the pretty little village of Port Holland, with its beach and rich history of smuggling. Country walks, coastal walks or just relaxing on the local beaches, many in quiet coves, this really is the quintessential Cornwall. Although secluded, the barns are situated under a mile from the South West Coastal Path and spectacular walks can be enjoyed along with equally wonderful inland walks to cater for all tastes. The properties are set on the Caerhays Castle Estate, with its famous gardens open to the public, and are close to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and a short drive to the Eden Project. The area is one of the most picturesque in Cornwall and is set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wildlife abounds in the area and you can expect to see badgers, buzzards and everything in between. A beautiful sheltered beach at Caerhays provides the perfect location for that family holiday, with rock pools and fine sand. Beautiful beaches can be found at Gorran Haven, Pendower and Portscatho which is home to the Hidden Hut Cafe. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
