Sitting at the end of a row, this impressive Georgian house enjoys extensive and panoramic views across the beautiful Falmouth Bay. With access to the beach in less than 2 minutes, the house really is in a prime position to enjoy the charms of this ancient and beautiful fishing village, on the southern tip of the Roseland Peninsula, an AONB off Cornwall’s south coast. Gibraltar House has the added bonus of its own parking space, a relaxing terrace, and an enclosed garden where the children can play amongst the established plants and shrubs. It provides stylish and very comfortable accommodation to relax and enjoy a traditional British seaside holiday. Enjoy stunning views from the living room on the first floor, where light floods in through the large panoramic windows. St Mawes, surrounded by water and rolling hills, boasts renowned hotels with excellent restaurants, perfect for that romantic dinner or family lunch. There are numerous local pubs, cafés, bistros and bakeries, along with galleries and craft shops for visitors to browse away the hours. Sailing, kayaking, sea fishing and stand up paddle boarding are available locally. The estuary is the perfect spot for fishing, and the beaches are perfect for crabbing amongst the rocks and rockpools that hug the shoreline. A regular water taxi leaves the quay and crosses the estuary, a further stroll leads you to Porthbear Beach, a golden crescent of sand that provides everything needed for the quintessential day at the beach. Various ferries run from the quay across Falmouth Bay and up the Fal River to Truro, this trip is an ideal way to experience the beauty of Cornwall, as the ferry stops at the stunning Trelissick House. St Mawes Castle, a circular medieval castle built by Henry VIII to defend his land, is just a 10-minute walk away. Gibraltar House provides the chance to enjoy the peace, quiet and charm of one of Cornwall’s prettiest villages. Beach 50 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
