Fuschia Cottage is a detached, secluded, single-storey holiday property, accessed by a short, unmade private lane, and is located just outside the quiet fishing village of Porthallow on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula (AONB). The fishing harbour and sandy beach at Coverack is approximately 4 miles away and the picturesque Helford Estuary, with its hidden creeks and glorious river/estuary walks, also close by. The pretty square in St Keverne is just 1¾ miles away, with two friendly pubs, grocery and butchers shop. The historic town of Helston is 12¾ miles, the home of the famous Floral Dance/Flora Day in May and Flambard’s theme park. The area is perfect for those seeking peace and tranquillity, enjoy walking and fishing. Approximately half a mile from the property, a footpath leads to the old fishing village of Porthallow (approximately 1 mile by road), with its pebble beach, pub serving food and access to coastal paths. Gillan is 1¾ miles and has a great sandy beach. The Lizard Peninsula is the most southerly point in Great Britain, and is ideal for sailing, fishing, bird watching and an abundance of wildlife. The National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek is just a short drive. The busy town and port of Falmouth is a 25 mile drive, with the National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle, restaurants, cafes, shops, art galleries, cinema and ferry services to nearby St Mawes. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
