The Steading is set on a beautiful traditional Galloway farm, offering the visitor a peaceful and tranquil base to relax and unwind, whilst having the local facilities of Kirkcudbright only a few miles away. This former farm steading has been thoughtfully and carefully converted to make comfortable and friendly accommodation for up to six people. Full of charm and character with stunning, uninterrupted, panoramic views, it has oak floors, a real flame fire, French opening balcony doors and a spacious patio with BBQ to enjoy the varied birdlife, sunsets and dark star-studded skies. Castle Creavie Farm has prioritised on making wildlife habitats, ponds, planting hedges and native woodland trees, so the visitor can enjoy the farm walk, observe the day to day life on the farm, and there is always a field to walk the dogs or let the children fly their kites! A warm welcome awaits you at The Steading, as well as a home baked tea tray on your arrival. Free range eggs, honey and home-made bread are available on request. The area around the property has numerous walks available, from scenic coastal walks to forest trails. With sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by, there is sure to be something for everyone. Warmed by the gulf stream, there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens (NT). Kirkcudbright is known as ‘the artists’ town’, and it attracts visitors throughout the year who are drawn by the harbour, the historic high street and the diverse range of annual events and visitor attractions. The popular programme of summer festivities culminates with the spectacular Tattoo, an event not to be missed.
