Situated on a working farm in a secluded location, boasting splendid views of the famous Brecon Beacon Mountains (AONB), this traditional detached Welsh barn, adjacent to the owners’ home, has been beautifully restored to a very good standard retaining all of its original charm and character for that unforgettable holiday experience. This former stable dates back to the 18th century and has been lovingly restored to expose its original features, including stone walls and oak beams. Welcoming touches have been added, including contemporary amenities and a blazing wood-burning stove for those cosy evenings in. Sit back and relax in the shared lawned gardens, where the glistening River Marlais passes, and watch the red kites and peregrine falcons soar over the magnificent scenery. Just a stones’ throw away is the Brecon Beacon National Park, which is bursting with wildlife, and is home to numerous walks and enchanted sites nestled amongst tumbling waterfalls and rugged countryside. The historic town of Llandeilo is a short drive away and is famous for its award-winning chocolate shop, boutique shopping and elegant restaurants dotted around the town. Discover the county’s historic sites, including Carreg Cennen and Aberglasney Manor, or explore the Heritage park of Dinefwr and learn the rich history behind its beautiful 12th-century castle, situated amongst a tranquil 800-acre park with wild deer running free.
