Set amidst spectacular unspoilt rugged grandeur on the Sound of Sleat is Glenelg village, 9 miles from the A87 over the scenic mountain road of Mam Ratagan. This cosy detached holiday cottage makes a comfortable base whilst experiencing the peace and tranquillity of the superb hills and coastline surrounding the village, rich in wildlife, especially eagles and otters. Excellent for walking, climbing and fishing. Beach in Glenelg, 1 mile away. Car ferry to Skye operates from the beginning of April to the middle of October. Shop and pub 250 yards.

Evening diners may select 2 or 3 courses from the menu which often includes local shellfish and Highland venison. Impeccably presented, contemporary Scottish cooking served in peaceful surroundings, with lovely countryside views.
The Kishorn Seafood Bar provides good quality food in a fantastic setting using fresh local produce whenever possible. The menu is primarily seafood, but it does cater for most dietary requirements. The fresh mussels come from neighbouring Loch Torridon.
