A charming holiday cottage, adjacent to the owners home, is a short walk to the high street of Broadway with picturesque honey-toned houses, old inns and shops. This beautiful retreat for two offers a combination of traditional and contemporary style and has an en-suite king size bedroom. On a summers evening the patio provides a great spot to dine al fresco. The Willows also has use of a shared games room, providing hours of entertainment with a mahogany snooker table, table tennis and darts. The village nestles under the Cotswold escarpment, providing an excellent base for touring amid lovely scenery. Quaint towns, villages, historic houses, castles, gardens and good walking close by. Broadway Tower, situated on Broadway Hill, is the second highest point in the Costwolds, and offers panoramic views of the area (once admired by the artist William Morris). There are many country houses to visit in the area such as Hidcote Manor House and Garden, Stanway House, Sudeley Castle with banqueting hall and tomb of Catherine Parr, or the National Trust property Snowshill Manor, a restored 17th-century house with Jacobean furniture and an eclectic collection of treasures from around the world. Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, is renowned for its Tudor architecture with its broad streets of half-timbered houses. Visit the Regency spa town of Cheltenham, Stow-on-the-Wold or the ancient wool town of Burford with many antique shops. Bourton-on-the-Water with its many tourist attractions, the Malvern hills and Moreton-in-Marsh, an ancient market town with many old coaching inns, all within an easy drive. This Broadway cottage is the perfect all year round holiday property and is the ideal base for those wishing to explore this stunning area. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
