This single-storey, light and airy, traditional summer house in the owner’s grounds is a comfortable holiday base and has its own garden and patio from which to enjoy the views of Glastonbury Tor. There are walks from the door and Glastonbury is 3 miles away, famous for its epic annual Glasto pop festival. Once there, take stroll along the Millennium Walk, passing St Benedict’s Church and the bustling market place. Other attractions include the Peat Moors Centre and its reconstructed Iron Age houses, and the Chalice Well. Glastonbury Abbey ruins have strong connections with King Arthur and Guinevere, as well as the Holy Grail. Also known as the Isle of Avalon, Glastonbury Tor stands on the edge of the town, topped by the remains of the Church of St Michael, which can be reached by a steep pathway. Within an hour’s drive is the Georgian city of Bath, bustling Bristol, Cheddar Gorge, the cathedral city of Wells and the coastal resorts of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.
