Situated approximately 2 miles from the sea and nestling in the fold of a valley on the edge of Holyford Woods, these two holiday cottages are set in a very peaceful location within the grounds of the owners’ home, a Grade II listed farmhouse. The Stables (ref 29853) forms the majority part of a converted Victorian coach house and is located opposite the farmhouse. The oldest part of the property, dating back to the 16th century, is Crispin Cottage (ref 29852). Attached to the owners’ home, this southern wing has a wealth of oak panelling, beams and other period features. The local woodland has an abundance of wildlife and offers some wonderful country walks literally on the doorstep. The historic town of Colyton, with the River Coly flowing through it, is a mile or so away. It has a variety of local shops, tea rooms and pubs, all offering good food. Nearby attractions include Seaton’s Tramway, the fishing village of Beer and its famous caves, the beach at Branscombe, the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth and Crealy Adventure Park a little further towards Exeter. The city is just over 20 miles away. River Cottage HQ and its cafe in Axminster are both only 6 miles away, as is the seaside resort of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb harbour. It has an area of sandy beach and offers a variety of watersports, as well as a large number of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and exclusive gift shops. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen with tiled floor. Steep stairs to first floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.
