This charming cottage is centrally situated in the quaint village of Gardenstown. Fully renovated with a cosy atmosphere and a mix of contemporary and French style furnishings, it is a superb base to spend a holiday in this lovely area. Ideally positioned to take in lovely views of the sea from the living rooms and bedrooms, it is within a short walk of the quaint harbour and beach beyond. Sample the delights of the owner’s teashop next door which serves a selection of light refreshments though the day or enjoy a drink or evening meal in the local hotel nearby. Gardenstown is on the Coastal Trail, one of several delightful fishing villages strung out along this rugged coastline where dolphins and seals are often spotted. Macduff Marine Aquarium features the diverse marine life of the Moray Firth, while a few miles past Macduff is historic Portsoy, known for its annual boat festival. Discover pretty churches and cottages, castles and cliff top walks, seabirds and quiet beaches all along the coast, from Aberdeen to Inverness. For the birdwatchers, RSPB Troup Head is just 1½ miles, or an hours walk, from the property. Shop ¼ mile, pub and rstaurant 300 yards.

A beautiful spot nestled high on the cliffs of Troup Head; perfect for a bit of bird watching. Relax with a picnic and a good book or go for a stroll along the coast keeping your eyes peeled for razorbills, guillemots and kittiwakes. Dolphins and minke whales are also occasionally visible just offshore, if you?re lucky enough to spot them!
Housing an exhibition about the Moray Firth, dolphins and local wildlife, this wildlife themed visitor centre's location on the edge of a nature reserve affords frequent sightings of dolphins, seals, otters, osprey and wildfowl. There is also a shop and cafe.
