The Cottage at Lee Farm can be found in the small historic hamlet of Brightholmlee, which as a designated Conservation Area offers rural tranquillity, wide views and fine, traditional buildings dating as far back as the 17th Century. An attractive property built with local dressed stone, The Cottage is set around a cobbled courtyard next to the owners home, and once inside is incredibly spacious, full of character and charm, and benefits from superb modern day luxuries such as full underfloor heating.

Surrounded by beautiful open countryside on the southern side of the Ewden Valley, Brightholmlee itself is popular with walkers, ramblers and horse riders with several footpaths and bridleways passing through or close by, including the Stone to Steel Heritage Trail. In addition the Peak District National Park is just half a mile away, with the beautiful Hope Valley villages of Hathersage, Hope and Castleton around a half hour drive, as is the stunning Holme Valley and Holmfirth as seen on the 2014 Tour de France. For those with an interest in historic houses, the magnificent Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, near the popular market town of Bakewell, can be reached in around an hour, as can the diverse architecture of the spa town Buxton. Sheffield and all the usual array of big city attractions can be reached in around half an hour, and for more local amenities the village of Wharncliffe Side is half a mile down the road and is home to a traditional village pub.
