Atrractive cluster of holiday homes, retaining many original features

Nestling peacefully in one of north Norfolk’s prettiest villages, this attractive cluster of holiday cottages, three of which we feature here, (refs 28818 to 28820) has been created from the sympathetic conversion of a range of handsome farm buildings. Retaining many original features in their tastefully appointed and very comfortable interiors, they enjoy a wonderfully tranquil, rural setting on a working farm. Each cottage boasts its own enclosed garden and they all enjoy access to the surrounding countryside, where gentle walking, cycling and bird watching are popular pastimes. Also available on site are a beauty salon and a personal catering service, both of which are perfect for enhancing your relaxing stay. Just 12 miles away, is the famous sandy coastline which includes Holkham with its glorious beach and the splendour of Holkham Hall, beautiful Brancaster, RSPB Titchwell and Wells-next-the-Sea, with its famous quay and quaint mix of cafes, artisan and traditional seaside shops. Wells-next-the-Sea is also home to a little narrow gauge railway that carries passengers on the 1-mile journey to and from the sandy beach. For a complete contrast and all the fun of the fair, head to Hunstanton, famous for its wide sandy beach, funfair, traditional seaside amusements and Sea Life Centre. Walsingham, site of the famous Shrine, Burnham Market and Burnham Deepdale, with their close associations with Admiral Nelson, are also a delight. And, in addition to the palladium, Holkham Hall and other stately homes are in abundance with Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and the Queen’s Estate at Sandringham – all within easy reach. Seal watching boat trips depart from several picturesque fishing villages along the coast, the lovely harbour at Blakeney is a joy to visit and there are countless pubs serving freshly caught local seafood. Fakenham, at just 5 miles, draws numerous visitors to the races and its friendly weekly market, the Georgian town of Holt boasts fine, independent shops and the Norfolk lavender fields are always popular too. An easy drive leads to the medieval city of Norwich with its excellent shops, historic buildings and castle museum of local history – the magnificent cathedral and cobbled Elm Hill are also not to be missed. With farm shops, galleries and craft shops in abundance, there really are so many opportunities to just relax and potter. Having worked up an appetite, foodies will not be disappointed, as there is an abundance of pubs, cafes and restaurants providing a wide range of options to suit all tastes and pockets, many of which serve seasonal local produce. All these delights, and so much more, are readily accessible from the properties at Manor Mews. These cottages hold a marriage licence, and can host weddings, celebrations and get-togethers by arrangement with the owner. The Stables (ref 28820) dining room seats 16, ideal if The Stables and any of the other properties are booked together. Golf nearby. Shop, pub/restaurant 1 mile.

Standing proudly in its large, beautifully maintained walled garden and mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the magnificent Manor House provides the perfect accommodation for large groups and family reunions.
