Nestling in the peaceful village of Symondsbury, only 2 miles from the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, these two barn conversions, each for 4 people, are perfectly placed to explore this stunning coastline, from picturesque Lyme Regis to the bustling seaside resort of Weymouth. The Barn (ref 28923) is a 200-year-old, detached holiday property which boasts a cosy open fire, beams and comfortable accommodation for a family or 2 couples, and The Loft (ref W43531), is a studio annexe full of character with beams, a woodburner and a four poster bed. Set 30 yards apart, just over a courtyard, both properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests. Within the village, one can wander down to the nearby pub to wine and dine, or on your doorstep, there is the Symondsbury Estate Craft Centre with its restaurant. The scenic coastline has superb coastal walking, including at West Bay, setting of the TV series ’Broadchurch’, or maybe take an invigorating walk up Golden Cap, the highest point in the south of England. For families, enjoy crabbing, swimming, fossil hunting or boating from one of the seaside resorts. Lyme Regis, with its pretty and famous Cobb and harbour, is well worth a visit, or take time out to explore the whole of unspoilt west Dorset. There are a wealth of attractions and activities to be enjoyed, including Forde Abbey and Gardens, Broadwindsor Craft Centre and Abbotsbury Swannery and Tropical Gardens. There is a village shop just a short stroll away where you can purchase essential items and daily newspapers. Beach 2 miles. Shop 1/4 mile, pub and restaurant 250 yards.
