Set in rolling rural countryside on the borders of Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire, yet only a short drive from the major motorway connections of the M40 (Junctions 10 and 11), The Hayloft and The Stalls (refs NAB & NAC) are adjoining barn conversions which lie on the edge of the Cotswolds. They offer spacious, light and airy holiday accommodation that is still warm, cosy and comfortable with wooden floors and a wood-burning stove. There are numerous established footpaths and bridle paths which criss-cross the area and take guests through some of the most picturesque countryside and landscapes. The nearby village of Aynho is famous for the apricot trees grown on the stone walls of the old houses. The historic market town of Banbury is close by, whilst Deddington (with a monthly farmers’ market), Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh and Shipston-on-Stour give a more traditional view of the Cotswolds and the chance to stroll along the quaint high streets, stopping at one of the many tea shops and country inns for which the area is famous. Less than 30 minutes away lies Blenheim Palace, in the town of Woodstock, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and home of the Blenheim Horse Trials. In the opposite direction, why not sample Sulgrave Manor (ancestral home of the family of George Washington) or Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, situated next to a forest - or divert to shop at designer boutiques in the highly acclaimed Bicester Village Outlet Centre. A little farther afield, but still within easy driving distance, lie the university city of Oxford, the ancient town of Warwick, Leamington Spa and the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Commonly referred to as Shakespeare’s Stratford, this is the perfect opportunity to visit many historic attractions including the Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Formerly a florist and greengrocer, Gee's, Oxford's fine dining restaurant, was converted by present owner Jeremy Mogford 15 years ago. The menu is based on seasonal food, local produce and fine ingredients.

Leamington and County Golf Club has long been established as a premier golf club here in Warwickshire. It is not a particularly long course and is quite hilly, there are some beautiful holes and stunning views as you walk around. You will find the greens and fairways throughout the course to be in great condition, they are well maintained, and the bunkers are well stocked. The course itself is challenging but fair and will therefore, appeal to high and low handicaps. They extend a friendly welcome to all visitors and you are immediately made to feel at home here. The staff throughout are very friendly, professional and approachable and certainly make your visit more memorable. The clubhouse has a lovely ambience and enjoys nice views out over the 18th green, they serve a nice selection of dishes, that are well cooked and presented and offer great value for money too. The facilities throughout Leamington and County Golf Club are very good, the green fees offer great value for money so if you are in the region check out this lovely course you will not be disappointed.
Quarry Park Disc Golf is a fairly new concept and a variation of the traditional game of golf, in that you have to get a Frisbee disc in a basket in as few tries as possible, there are 27 Innova Discatcher baskets on the course. As with regular golf there is a short course of 16 holes of 50m, or the regular course that is 18 holes of 90m. The facility is set on 15 acres of stunning countryside, the land has been especially designed for disc golf. Disc Golf is a fantastic sport for all ages and abilities, it allows you to get out in the fresh air, mingle and most importantly it is fun. The course here at Quarry Park has been built so that it can accommodate both beginners to the game and pros. What is also great about this game is that it can be done in groups, they can cater for groups of up to ten and you can just turn up and play, it is not necessary to book. To play disc golf you just need to turn up and visit the pro shop where you can hire/buy all the equipment needed, they have thousands of disc to choose from. You are given an instruction on how to hold and throw the disc, a map and scorecard and off you go. Quarry Park Disc Golf makes for a great fun day out and the staff here make the experience wonderful, they are so friendly and enthusiastic about the sport. It is also nice to take a relaxing riverside walk, or go boating on the River Leam, the boat centre is located in the Mill Gardens. With lots of gentle walks and lots to see and do Jephson Gardens offer a lovely day out for everyone.

The Court Barn is an old tithe barn that itself is interesting but, housed in this historic structure is an exhibition relating to the Arts and Crafts movement in Chipping Campden. The exhibits on show are well presented and are all relevant to the local area or by local artists showcasing their works and talent. The staff here are very friendly and enthusiastic and really enhance your visit to the Court Barn. It is an intimate venue but the quality of work on display is fantastic and there are some really nice and unique items available to purchase. There are some interesting videos that demonstrate how certain items are made. It does not take you very long to get around the museum but, nevertheless it is interesting and informative and throws considerable light on the Arts and Crafts movement and its legacy here in the Cotswolds. If you are in the area then a visit to the court Barn Museum is worthwhile.
Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden are dedicated to the memory of a local, Ernest "Chinese" Wilson who became a well known plant hunter who operated from the USA, his expeditions took him all over China, Japan, Korea and much of Asia. The gardens offer a place of peace and tranquillity in Chipping Campden, they are beautiful and well maintained. You will find some unusual and rare plants here that were originally brought back from Asia, they are all labelled which, is helpful. In fact he introduced more than 1,200 species of trees and shrubs. There is a story board that illustrates the life and exploits of Ernest Wilson in China, and his later years, it is very informative and interesting. The gardens are hidden away behind a brick wall that faces the high street and is accessed via a little Tudor archway. There are lots of benches where you can sit and enjoy the calming atmosphere. The gardens rely on donations and there are boxes for contributions. If you are interested in plants and trees and want to know where they came from and when they were brought into the country you will find all this and more here at the Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden. The Old Silk Mill offers a cooperative of more than twenty artists and craftspeople a venue to showcase their crafts and talents in this historic building. The Old Silk Mill is also known as the home of C.R Ashbee's world acclaimed Guild of Handicraft who inhabited the property from 1902 to 1908. There continues to be a representative of the Guild at the Old Silk Mill through Hart Goldmiths and Silversmiths and you can see these and other artists at work here, it is like stepping back in time. In addition they are more than happy to discuss their work with you. The Old Silk Mill provides the perfect conditions to exhibit these works in a bright and airy environment with a welcoming atmosphere. You will find a combination of contemporary and traditional craftspeople, they include artists, ceramicists, designers, furniture makers, glass makers, metal workers, photographers, sculptors, stone carvers, textile artists and wood carvers. The aim of the co-operative is to help expose and develop the artists profiles and allow people to meet them and discuss their works. Each member will have the opportunity to administer the co-operatives numerous exhibitions. The gallery is open each day from 10am to 5pm. There is a lovely coffee shop that has a inviting and relaxed ambience where you can enjoy a good selection of tea and coffees and some delicious cakes/biscuits that offer great value for money. Do take the time to visit the Old Silk Mill it is a true working museum and has a really nice selection of exhibits and also offers the opportunity to purchase a unique gift.

The Loft Theater has had a long standing of producing live theatre in Leamington Spa, and caters to the local and surrounding areas. Managed by a team who are predominantly volunteers, they strive to bring professional standards to all their community based theatre as well as a diverse programme of events. Annually they produce about 9 shows for the main auditorium and less for the smaller Douglas Ford studio theatre. They engage in all aspects of theatrical styles from classic to modern, tragedy to comedy and musical theatre. Everyone will find a production here that will appeal to them. This intimate theatre is a bit dated but it has a welcoming and casual atmosphere and there is a theatre bar where you can enjoy a drink throughout and after the show. Regardless of where you sit you are afforded great views of the stage and the sound is very good . Such is the high standard of productions and acting that you will forget that you are watching an amateur production! Tickets are reasonably priced so check to see what productions are coming and see what amazing local talent there is.
Potter In is a craft studio where customers come along to have fun and get creative in this art and craft shop. The shop is ideally situated in the centre of Leamington Spa town. Customers can choose from a number of activities, such as pottery painting, decopatching, jewellery making and mosaicing. They offer a service of making a special souvenir of your baby made either in a clay imprint, 3D impression of its hands or feet and silver personalised jewellery. The staff are lovely, friendly, professional and helpful, and at hand if you require any assistance. There is a lovely relaxed ambience and they serve coffee, fairtrade tea and squash. Cotswold Lavender are probably the prettiest and nicest smelling fields that you will ever see, you are invited to come and visit them on their farm to see for yourself the beauty of these fields. Generally open from June to August when the lavender is in bloom, you are welcome to come and walk the fields and distillery. The harvest will take place when the crop is ready and this cannot be predetermined, it then needs to be distilled immediately after cutting, it is only on these times that the distillery will actually be operational. Located in a splendidly renovated Cotswold Stone barn on the premises are the lovely Gift Shop and Tea Rooms. The Gift Shop stocks the complete range of products they sell from lavender plants, dry lavender bunches, the best English Lavender Essential Oils and their best seller the Slumber Gel, there are loads more products available here. The Tea Rooms are cosy and welcoming and sell refreshments and light snacks as well as a selection of cakes and pastries for your enjoyment. Cotswold Lavender offers a unique and unusual day out that is interesting and enjoyable for all the family.
The Richard Hagan Gallery focuses on Original Contemporary British Art, it is housed in a charming 17th century building that is full of character. The gallery is open daily during the year and has a continually altering display of excellent paintings and sculptures, in addition to some permanent displays. During the year there are three inclusive group exhibitions. The main focus at this gallery is on the finest in Scottish contemporary and Cornish art. The paintings and objects on display here lean more to the modern representational and abstract.

From small beginnings the Midland Air Museum has grown into a highly regarded aviation museum. Housed in the Sir Frank Whittle Jet Heritage Centre to the north of Coventry Airport, you will find a large collection of aviation memorabilia, from books, videos, photos, artefacts and aircraft parts to a collection of fighter planes that have all been carefully restored, all there to tell the story of jet aviation. Warwick Arts Centre is an integral part of the university and wider community. This stunning building has a theatre, studio theatre, conference room, music centre, practise rooms, bookshop and bars. It is a busy venue and hosts in excess of 2300 events and performances a year of music, drama, dance, mime, comedy, film, visual arts and literature. Films are shown throughout the year, other events are generally shown during the three University terms. The bookshop has a large stock of books that cater to everyone, and even has a children's section. The Mead Gallery is a vast and beautiful designated contemporary art gallery that displays a highly respected catalogue of international and contemporary art. When it comes to eating or drinking on the premises there are plenty of choices with two bars and Le Gusta Oven and Bar that serves a selection of pizzas, tapas and favourites such as Bangers and Mash. Blenheim Palace is located in 2000 acres of stunning parkland at the heart of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and yet is only 8 miles from Oxford. It is a world heritage site and well known as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

St James' Church is a prominent landmark here in Chipping Camden and this majestic church has been standing here since the 1400's, and can be seen for miles around. It is a renowned Perpendicular Wool church and one of the finest examples in England. There are cards available to allow you to take a self guided tour, it will not take you very long to see this church nevertheless it is still interesting with many lovely features, including medieval altar frontals, medieval cope, stone sculptures, stained glass windows, tapestries and works of silk. Outside there is an old graveyard and the headstones and tombs make for interesting reading and there are some lovely views out over the stunning surrounding countryside. The church relies on donations for its upkeep so there are boxes around where you can make a donation. The church extends a warm and welcoming greeting to all who visit and you are invited to join them in worship, there are services every Sunday and there are other special services throughout the year. If you get to hear the organ being played it is a mesmerising sound. St James' Church is a true gem and if you are in the area make time to visit this beautiful and historic building, you will not be disappointed by it.
The Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection is a fun place for families in Bourton-on-the-Water. The extensive collections feature a wide range of exhibits, including the Mill Gallery which is full of sleek vehicles. Visitors can see a blacksmith's workshop or take a journey through Windrush Alley for a closer look at street level motoring.
Grevel House is located at the north end of Campden, and is the town's oldest house. It is an excellent illustration of 14th century architecture, in the Perpendicular Gothic style, with its elegantly decorated windows, its gargoyles, their purpose was to scare away bad spirits as well as acting as rain spouts, and sundial. This historic house was the home of William Grevel and is the first great wool mansion, having chimneys as opposed to just holes in the roof. William Grevel was one of the country's most effective wool merchants. At the time his home would have been surrounded by wattle and daub huts, so you get a perspective of his immense wealth. Unfortunately you can't get inside the house but can admire its beauty from outside.
There are five Shakespeare houses, and they are all excellent destinations for children as well as for educational groups of all ages. Accompanying lectures are also available — particularly useful if you are currently studying Shakespeare. However, if you're not a student, just a fan of the work, these houses are well worth a visit!
St. John's House Museum is an important historic landmark that is found inside a Jacobean mansion. The exhibits focus on social history with a Victorian kitchen and school room. The school room is utilised for children's educational activities. Visitors can also explore toys, games, costumes and other childhood-related artefacts. Elegant formal gardens are found outside while the Royal Warwickshire Regiment of Fusiliers Museum is open on the first floor.
Feel the weight of a sword as you get a soldier's eye view from beneath the battle helmet. Scale the towers or descend into the dark, damp, creepy dungeons and torture chambers of this impressive castle. A great fun day out. (Limited wheelchair access due to the nature of the building)
The Lord Leycester Hospital is the "crown of Warwick historic buildings." This handsome and sprawling facility was a charitable institution for the housing and care of the needy, aged and infirm. Despite the name, it was never actually a medical establishment. Today the landmark still stands as a beautiful example of a timbre framed buildings that date back to the 14th century.
The Collegiate Church of St. Mary in Warwick is a working church found near the centre of town. The building has been welcoming the faithful for more than 1,000 years, providing a place for reflection and celebration of God. It is among the largest of England's churches. Events are hosted throughout the year.

Gordon Russell Design Museum is a dedication to the life and work of one of Britain's foremost design pioneers, his life spanned many amazing events and changes and these are all documented here. The museum is actually located in the original workshop, and is a celebration of his life and work, over a period of 60 years. Gordon Russell was an extremely talented man and had many skills, he was a furniture designer and maker, calligrapher, entrepreneur and champion of accessible well crafted design. He trained locally and had a belief that a good design could have consequences on peoples lives. He continued to pursue quality and craftsmanship even when he introduced machinery. He was heavily involved in promoting Britian's design industry following the end of World War II, his persistence and dedication had a lasting impression and effect on British industry, design and education. The museum houses a unique collection of furniture that covers many eras from the Arts and Crafts movement right through to the 80's and the introduction of utility furniture. To support these stunning pieces there is a huge archive of authentic drawings, notebooks, catalogues and correspondence in addition to admittance to the firm's original reference library. The museum is an interesting and engaging space that is educational and interesting simultaneously, a great day out for all, the guides are informative and friendly and the furniture on show is superb.
Situated on the corner of Olney's historic marketplace, this large brick building is where 18th century poet William Cowper lived and worked. Whilst there, visit the vicarage where John Newton wrote 'Amazing Grace'. Attractive shops and places to eat are just a stone's throw from the museum.

The Electric Railway Museum is a charity run attraction with the purpose of bolstering the heritage of all electric trains in the United Kingdom, all staff are volunteers who have a real interest in this area. This promotion is achieved by traction and rolling stock renovation, display and operation together with efforts in collating historically pertinent technical and photographic archives. On site here is the biggest collection of conserved electric trains in the United Kingdom, they comprise of industrial, electric locomotives, surburban multiple units, Edwardian underground train carriage bodies to high speed express trains. During your visit you will find all about the impact the railways have had on the growth and development of the country through the rich collection of exhibits. A new attraction to the site is a 7 1/4 inch gauge miniature railway that offers rides to all visitors.
