The facilities throughout Leamington and County Golf Club are very good, the green fees offer great value for money so if you are in the region check out this lovely course you will not be disappointed.

Quarry Park Disc Golf is a fairly new concept and a variation of the traditional game of golf, in that you have to get a Frisbee disc in a basket in as few tries as possible, there are 27 Innova Discatcher baskets on the course. As with regular golf there is a short course of 16 holes of 50m, or the regular course that is 18 holes of 90m. The facility is set on 15 acres of stunning countryside, the land has been especially designed for disc golf. Disc Golf is a fantastic sport for all ages and abilities, it allows you to get out in the fresh air, mingle and most importantly it is fun. The course here at Quarry Park has been built so that it can accommodate both beginners to the game and pros. What is also great about this game is that it can be done in groups, they can cater for groups of up to ten and you can just turn up and play, it is not necessary to book. To play disc golf you just need to turn up and visit the pro shop where you can hire/buy all the equipment needed, they have thousands of disc to choose from. You are given an instruction on how to hold and throw the disc, a map and scorecard and off you go. Quarry Park Disc Golf makes for a great fun day out and the staff here make the experience wonderful, they are so friendly and enthusiastic about the sport. There is a play area in the Mill Gardens where, children can have hours of enjoyment in the sand pit and playing on the swings, slides and climbing frames. It is also nice to take a relaxing riverside walk, or go boating on the River Leam, the boat centre is located in the Mill Gardens. The Loft Theater has had a long standing of producing live theatre in Leamington Spa, and caters to the local and surrounding areas. Managed by a team who are predominantly volunteers, they strive to bring professional standards to all their community based theatre as well as a diverse programme of events. Annually they produce about 9 shows for the main auditorium and less for the smaller Douglas Ford studio theatre. They engage in all aspects of theatrical styles from classic to modern, tragedy to comedy and musical theatre. Everyone will find a production here that will appeal to them. This intimate theatre is a bit dated but it has a welcoming and casual atmosphere and there is a theatre bar where you can enjoy a drink throughout and after the show. Regardless of where you sit you are afforded great views of the stage and the sound is very good . Such is the high standard of productions and acting that you will forget that you are watching an amateur production! Tickets are reasonably priced so check to see what productions are coming and see what amazing local talent there is.

The Midland Air Museum is a great example of how a passion and commitment can evolve into something great. From small beginnings the Midland Air Museum has grown into a highly regarded aviation museum. Housed in the Sir Frank Whittle Jet Heritage Centre to the north of Coventry Airport, you will find a large collection of aviation memorabilia, from books, videos, photos, artefacts and aircraft parts to a collection of fighter planes that have all been carefully restored, all there to tell the story of jet aviation. During your visit you can get up close to these aircraft with many of the cockpits and engines on display and staff available to answer any questions you might have. The Midland Air Museum is interesting and informative for all ages and has a gift shop and the Argosy Tea Room that provides a menu of light snacks and refreshments for your enjoyment.
The Court Barn is an old tithe barn that itself is interesting but, housed in this historic structure is an exhibition relating to the Arts and Crafts movement in Chipping Campden. The exhibits on show are well presented and are all relevant to the local area or by local artists showcasing their works and talent. The staff here are very friendly and enthusiastic and really enhance your visit to the Court Barn. It is an intimate venue but the quality of work on display is fantastic and there are some really nice and unique items available to purchase. There are some interesting videos that demonstrate how certain items are made. It does not take you very long to get around the museum but, nevertheless it is interesting and informative and throws considerable light on the Arts and Crafts movement and its legacy here in the Cotswolds. If you are in the area then a visit to the court Barn Museum is worthwhile.
Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden are dedicated to the memory of a local, Ernest "Chinese" Wilson who became a well known plant hunter who operated from the USA, his expeditions took him all over China, Japan, Korea and much of Asia. The gardens offer a place of peace and tranquillity in Chipping Campden, they are beautiful and well maintained. You will find some unusual and rare plants here that were originally brought back from Asia, they are all labelled which, is helpful. In fact he introduced more than 1,200 species of trees and shrubs. There is a story board that illustrates the life and exploits of Ernest Wilson in China, and his later years, it is very informative and interesting. The gardens are hidden away behind a brick wall that faces the high street and is accessed via a little Tudor archway. There are lots of benches where you can sit and enjoy the calming atmosphere. The gardens rely on donations and there are boxes for contributions. If you are interested in plants and trees and want to know where they came from and when they were brought into the country you will find all this and more here at the Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden. The Old Silk Mill is also known as the home of C.R Ashbee's world acclaimed Guild of Handicraft who inhabited the property from 1902 to 1908. There continues to be a representative of the Guild at the Old Silk Mill through Hart Goldmiths and Silversmiths and you can see these and other artists at work here, it is like stepping back in time. In addition they are more than happy to discuss their work with you. The Old Silk Mill provides the perfect conditions to exhibit these works in a bright and airy environment with a welcoming atmosphere. You will find a combination of contemporary and traditional craftspeople, they include artists, ceramicists, designers, furniture makers, glass makers, metal workers, photographers, sculptors, stone carvers, textile artists and wood carvers. The Lord Leycester Hospital is the "crown of Warwick historic buildings." This handsome and sprawling facility was a charitable institution for the housing and care of the needy, aged and infirm. Despite the name, it was never actually a medical establishment. Today the landmark still stands as a beautiful example of a timbre framed buildings that date back to the 14th century.
The Collegiate Church of St. Mary in Warwick is a working church found near the centre of town. The building has been welcoming the faithful for more than 1,000 years, providing a place for reflection and celebration of God. It is among the largest of England's churches. Events are hosted throughout the year.
There are five Shakespeare houses, and they are all excellent destinations for children as well as for educational groups of all ages. Accompanying lectures are also available — particularly useful if you are currently studying Shakespeare. However, if you're not a student, just a fan of the work, these houses are well worth a visit!
St James' Church is a prominent landmark here in Chipping Camden and this majestic church has been standing here since the 1400's, and can be seen for miles around. It is a renowned Perpendicular Wool church and one of the finest examples in England. There are cards available to allow you to take a self guided tour, it will not take you very long to see this church nevertheless it is still interesting with many lovely features, including medieval altar frontals, medieval cope, stone sculptures, stained glass windows, tapestries and works of silk. Outside there is an old graveyard and the headstones and tombs make for interesting reading and there are some lovely views out over the stunning surrounding countryside. The church relies on donations for its upkeep so there are boxes around where you can make a donation. The church extends a warm and welcoming greeting to all who visit and you are invited to join them in worship, there are services every Sunday and there are other special services throughout the year. If you get to hear the organ being played it is a mesmerising sound. St James' Church is a true gem and if you are in the area make time to visit this beautiful and historic building, you will not be disappointed by it.
Grevel House is located at the north end of Campden, and is the town's oldest house. It is an excellent illustration of 14th century architecture, in the Perpendicular Gothic style, with its elegantly decorated windows, its gargoyles, their purpose was to scare away bad spirits as well as acting as rain spouts, and sundial. This historic house was the home of William Grevel and is the first great wool mansion, having chimneys as opposed to just holes in the roof. William Grevel was one of the country's most effective wool merchants. At the time his home would have been surrounded by wattle and daub huts, so you get a perspective of his immense wealth. Unfortunately you can't get inside the house but can admire its beauty from outside.
The Electric Railway Museum is a charity run attraction with the purpose of bolstering the heritage of all electric trains in the United Kingdom, all staff are volunteers who have a real interest in this area. This promotion is achieved by traction and rolling stock renovation, display and operation together with efforts in collating historically pertinent technical and photographic archives. On site here is the biggest collection of conserved electric trains in the United Kingdom, they comprise of industrial, electric locomotives, surburban multiple units, Edwardian underground train carriage bodies to high speed express trains. During your visit you will find all about the impact the railways have had on the growth and development of the country through the rich collection of exhibits. A new attraction to the site is a 7 1/4 inch gauge miniature railway that offers rides to all visitors.
