Located in the village of Carhampton, just outside Minehead, The Granary is a semi-detached holiday cottage, ideally positioned for those wanting to explore and enjoy this versatile area. The cottage is presented to a very good standard and benefits from a good size living space and a lawned garden. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathrom and there is a woodburner in the living room. The cottage is within walking distance of the local pub and shop, and makes an ideal base from which to get out and about as well as being a welcome retreat after a busy day sightseeing. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor, and many places to visit to make a memorable holiday. Enjoy the Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (NT), Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy a walk along whilst eating an ice cream and which also has a good array of shops and other amenities. The renowned West Somerset Railway is worth a visit to enjoy a ride on one of their impressive steam engines. A trip to the enchanting medieval Dunster Castle (NT) and village, with its beautiful terraced gardens, deer park and mill, will also make for an interesting day out. There are beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor and there are some lovely walks from the cottage through Dunster Castle deer park and into the surrounding countryside. Beach 2 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub 500 yards.
