Situated in rolling countryside right on the Worcestershire/Gloucestershire border, yet remaining close to Warwickshire, Saintbury Grounds Farm is in the perfect location for guests wishing to explore the area. Set within 30 acres of the owners’ grounds and facing their farmhouse, guests are still tucked away from any hustle and bustle. The Dairy (ref 30066) is spacious, airy and light and offers guests an open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area at the opposite end of the property to the bedroom area. Lined with windows yet still remaining totally private, The Dairy is the ideal location for a relaxing break. Situated to the rear of the barns, guests will find The Byre (ref 30067). Cosy and compact, yet perfectly designed, The Byre has its own patio and seating area which overlooks the driveway and fields beyond. Cleverly laid out as a studio property, guests will find it easy to relax in this well-planned space. The Hayloft (ref 30068) is perfect for families or groups of friends wishing to share their accommodation. Spacious and well laid out, there are three good-sized bedrooms and a large, open-plan kitchen and living area that is perfect for a family meal, and a balcony with views across the fields. Right on the most northern tip of the Cotswolds, guests will find a plethora of public footpaths, bridleways and cycle paths stretching straight from the cottages, leading through magnificent scenery and countryside and then on to some of the prettiest villages that the area has to offer. Broadway, often named the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’ is only a 4-mile drive away and the ever-popular Chipping Campden is the same distance in the opposite direction. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance, guests will also be able to visit Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, Tewkesbury, Upton-on-Severn and Shipston-on-Stour. 10 minutes’ drive away, guests will have the opportunity to visit the thriving market town of Evesham, situated at the centre of the horticultural Vale of Evesham which is often referred to as the fruit and vegetable basket of England. From the peaceful banks of the River Avon to the undulating hills and spectacular scenery of the Cotswolds, the Vale offers some of the prettiest countryside and most magnificent views guests will ever wish to find. Less than 30 minutes’ drive away, guests will find themselves at the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Often referred to as Shakespeare’s Stratford, guests will have the opportunity to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace along with other historic locations or maybe enjoy a theatre break by booking to see a play performed by the world renowned Royal Shakespeare Company. Regency Cheltenham is just 21 miles south from the holiday properties and gives guests the perfect chance to indulge in a flutter on the horses at the world famous Cheltenham Racecourse. Oxford, Gloucester, Malvern and the cathedral cities of Worcester and Warwick can all be reached in under an hour and are full of historical buildings and attractions for guests of all ages. In addition, there is a station 3 miles away with a direct train to London, Oxford, and Reading. Whether travelling as a family, group of friends or just as a couple, Saintbury Grounds Farm is the ideal location for every type of holiday and guest. All three properties can be booked together for larger groups and guests are encouraged to enjoy the surrounding grounds and countryside during their stay. The owners keep a small herd of rare breed sheep and the surrounding land is actively farmed throughout the year. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
