This farm steading, formerly part of the Stonefield Castle Estate, has been skilfully converted into attractive holiday cottages which now form part of a courtyard surrounded by 30 acres of countryside grounds. The cottages are situated on the beautiful Kintyre Peninsula, 2 miles north of the picturesque harbour at Tarbert, which is popular for sailing and hosts the Scottish sailing regatta in May. There are numerous activities available around Tarbert: sample the fresh seafood caught at Loch Fyne in local restaurants, enjoy exploring nearby beaches and coves, walk all or part of the Kintyre Way, a marked walk stretching the length of the peninsula. The area is a nature lover’s paradise - red squirrels, deer, sea eagles, buzzards, otters and beavers can be spotted locally. For the energetic, windsurfing, horse riding, mountain biking and clay pigeon shooting are all nearby. Golfers can enjoy five local courses including the championship course at Machrihanish near Campbeltown. Clay pigeon shooting, sailing, cycling and horse riding available by arrangement (at cost). Shops and pubs 2 miles.
