Within easy driving there is much to do, including Montacute House and Gardens, Barrington Court, and Forde Abbey and Gardens - for those with historical interests, the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum with its fascinating array of classic cars from bygone days. Further into central Somerset, the Clarkes Factory Village, Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, the cathedral city of Wells and of course, the delightful city of Bath are worth visiting.
