Good touring base with countryside views

In a wonderful country location with superb views, and within easy driving of Sherborne, Dorset and South Somerset, these two single-storey converted barns (30678 and 30679), each one of a pair adjacent to the owners’ home, have been finished to a very good standard and are well equipped. On the doorstep are the fascinating Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes remarkable collection of classic cars for a trip back in time, or stroll around the characterful abbey town of Sherborne with its array of quaint shops and restaurants. There are many historic houses with gardens to enjoy including Stourhead House, Montacute House and Forde Abbey House and Gardens. Venture into central Somerset to explore the Somerset Levels with its wildlife, Glastonbury Tor, Wells cathedral city and, for a great day out, the splendid Roman spa city of Bath with its many shops, museums and restaurants. Returning home, you can wine and dine out in one of the many village pubs or restaurants in the area. The delightful scenic World Heritage Jurassic Coast offers yet more opportunity to enjoy this lovely area taking in Lyme Regis, West Bay, Bridport and onto Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester, you will have much to do to make this a memorable holiday. 30678 and 30679 can be booked together to sleep up to 6 guests.
