Within four miles take a ride on the Churnet Valley Steam Railway or visit Rudyard Lake for walking, sailing, fishing or canoeing. Alternatively for walking and climbing don’t miss ‘The Roaches Rocks’ on the southern uplands of the Pennines. A little further afield Biddulph Grange Gardens, Whiston Hall Golf Club and the famous Alton Towers theme park can be found. At Froghall Wharf in Stoke-on-Trent you can take a canal boat trip on the Cauldon Canal or visit the world famous Wedgewood Potteries visitors centre.
