Spring Cottage Annexe is in a great, peaceful location on the Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where there are miles of footpaths and quiet roads to explore on foot, bike or horseback. This delightful cottage, attached to the owners’ home, boasts lovely views and has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. In nearby Taunton, you will find great shopping and the Somerset County Cricket Ground, several theatres, a cinema, bowling alley, spas and just out of town, a polo ground and several golf courses. The coast is within easy reach if you fancy a day at the beach, surfing or just enjoying a good book. ?The surrounding area of the property was the first site in England to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, inspiring the poetry of both Coleridge and Wordsworth.
Attractions that are well worth a visit include Hestercombe Gardens, a unique collection of three gardens spanning three centuries of garden history and design, Fyne Court and The Museum of Somerset. Aboard the west Somerset railway, England’s longest and best heritage railway with 10 stations linked by a 20 mile scenic journey through the Quantocks Hills to the seaside. The nearest station to the property is Bishops Lydeard. Take a guided tour of the spectacular Wookey Hole Caves or spend a day at Wells, England’s smallest city and home to the most beautiful of the great English cathedrals.
