Due to its central location, this is a very desirable property in an excellent holiday area, ideal as a touring base for the Lake District National Park and beyond. There are also many magnificent walks straight from the door of the cottage. A level 10-minute walk brings you to the centre of the popular and bustling village of Grasmere which boasts a wide variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. Wordsworth called Grasmere ‘the loveliest spot that man hath ever found.’ He lived in both Dove Cottage and Allan Bank which are open to the public, with lovely grounds for walks; Dove Cottage also has a museum. The cottage apartment is beautifully laid out on the elevated ground floor, with the remaining accommodation providing living quarters for the owners when they are in residence at the property.
