Standing detached in a wonderful location offering stunning sea views over to the Isle of Wight, this elegant seaside home, set back from the sea lane, offers light, spacious, well-equipped and well-presented holiday accommodation. Shambles has taken its name from the nearby sailing centre of South Hamble. Features include high ceilings, oak carved staircase, bay windows, open fire and wooden floors. Outside there is a patio and barbecue for al fresco dining, overlooking the lawned gardens, summer house and small orchard. Guests can enjoy the games garage, with table tennis and table football. Indoors, there is also a pool/snooker/billards room with TV and music system. There is a lockable boathouse for storage of boats, sailing equipment or bikes. Scenic coastal walks begin almost from the door, with steps down to the shingle beach (Solent directly opposite). The harbour is close by and this area is one of the south coast’s leading venues for watersports, including wind and kite surfing. Enjoy peaceful walks along the River Meon, and Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve is close by. The nearby village of Titchfield has a butcher, tea rooms and store. The church dates back to the 7th or 8th century, and Titchfield Abbey has welcomed royal visitors including Richard I and Henry VI. Places of interest include the New Forest and Beaulieu National Motor Museum. Southampton airport is just a 20-minute drive. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
