Standing peacefully in the small Ryedale village of Fryton, this delightful mid-terraced holiday cottage oozes style and charm. Carefully renovated, retaining traditional features alongside modern comforts, the cottage is well-presented, with beautiful fabrics and furnishings, co-ordinated with interior design flair and great attention to detail. The striking open-plan living/dining room/kitchen has a roof lantern and French doors which allow light to flow throughout. The enclosed garden enjoys views across open countryside and a short walk across the fields leads to an award-winning pub in this village of Slingsby. The picturesque Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is popular with walkers and cyclists. The stately homes of Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall are within a 10-minute drive and the ancient city of York is easily accessible. There are quaint market towns at Helmsley, Easingwold and Kirkbymoorside and from Pickering, 15 miles away, visitors can board the famous steam train for a scenic trip through the North York Moors to the fishing port of Whitby. The surrounding area has an abundance of country inns and farm shops, whilst Michelin Star restaurants can be found at Harome and Oldstead. The seaside resorts of Scarborough and Filey are within an hour’s drive, as are the abbey ruins at Rievaulx and Byland and the history museum at Eden Camp. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
