This warm and very comfortable lodge sits with the owners home surrounded by working hill farms above the hamlet of St Harmon with its good pub and between Llanidloes with its arts centre, and regular markets, and Rhayader with its spectacular Red Kite feeding station, pottery, crystal factory and indoor pool. This unspoiled area is known as the Lakeland of Wales and has picturesque, almost alpine scenery. Close by is a stunning nature reserve which even has a hide for watching otters. A wonderful location for mountain biking, birdwatching and walking (Glyndwrs and Cistercian Way, Offas Dyke). There is fishing on the River Wye and on Elan Valley Nature Reserve’s magnificent waters. The Royal Welsh Showground, Victorian spa town of Llandridod Wells, and the book town of Hay-on-Wye are close by.
