This attractive lodge, with stunning views, has a large covered terrace and is located on a 122-acre horse stud farm in beautiful Carmarthenshire, minutes from Brechfa Forest. A mixture of ancient forest and managed woodlands and part of Cothi Valley provides walkers, cyclists (both for road and those looking for respected mountain bike trails) and horse riders with beautiful circular routes to explore. The River Cothi is the largest tributary of the River Tywi in south Wales and is noted for its trout and sea trout (sewin) fishing and for its beautiful scenery. The area makes a great base for visiting south west Wales, including the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains, as well as the longest beach in Wales, Cefn Sidan. Birdwatchers may want to visit the National Wetlands Centre and keen gardeners will be spoilt for choice with both the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney just a short drive away. The nearby Llyn Brianne reservoir and dam is a haven for birdwatchers, anglers, mountain bikers and walkers and just a short drive away will bring you to the unique Dolaucothi Gold Mines, first exploited by the Romans and now a fascinating visitor attraction. After days out exploring the many sights and attractions the area has to offer, what better way to relax than to enjoy the view from the cosy lodge with woodburner or a session in the outdoor hot tub. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
