It lies within this picturesque and tranquil country location, which offers award-winning gardens to walk around, wonderful views at every turn and close proximity to both the city of Sheffield (10 minutes) and lots of charming Derbyshire villages in the Peak District and countryside, including the Chatsworth Estate (10 minutes) offering the best of both worlds: gardens, theatre, culture, history, walking, climbing, golf, horse riding, fishing, gliding, photography, wildlife spotting, sightseeing and more. There is a large selection of local pubs and restaurants. The owners offer local produce (milk, free range eggs, bread, logs and papers) by prior arrangement. Welcome grocery packs from local producers/food artisans and the on-site kitchen gardens also by arrangement. Hot cooked meals on arrival can be provided (fees apply). Easy access from Sheffield and Chesterfield train stations and car hire, driver or taxi service by arrangement (fee applies). Horse riding stables are 350 yards away, and the owner has stables on site if guests wish to bring a horse. Shops 3 miles, pub 350 yards.
