Characterful accommodation with original features

This former Methodist chapel, built in 1797, offers something a little different. With a dramatic high ceiling, a galleried landing and original chapel windows, the detached holiday property also features two fully equipped kitchens. Situated on Mark Causeway, the amenities of the village of Mark are nearby, and it makes an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions this area has to offer. It is less than 5 miles to the coast and the long sandy beaches at Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare; 11 miles to Glastonbury famous for its music festival, King Arthur legends and the ruins of the abbey at the foot of the Tor; the Gorge and caves at Cheddar; the city of Wells with its magnificent cathedral, medieval Bishop’s Palace and intact 14th-century street, and Wookey Hole showcaves and family attractions. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy exploring the Somerset Levels and The Mendips, and the area is also a magnet for keen birdwatchers. Within an hour’s drive you can reach the cities of Bath and Bristol. Historic houses and gardens in the area include Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Chalice Well.
