Set in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, with distant views across the rolling Dartmoor landscape, this holiday property is situated in a stunning, rural setting on the edge of Bovey Tracey. Moorcroft Cottage is a first floor apartment situated in the grounds of the owner’s home, but offers privacy and has its own garden with table and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining. This property is just perfect for cyclists, walkers, bird watchers, nature lovers or anyone who would like to get away from it all and have some peace and quiet. There are some great places to visit from here, including Haytor, NT Parke, Yarner Wood and Becky Falls. Exeter and Plymouth are 25 miles away, and Ashburton offers plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. Activities available in the area include canoeing, carriage driving courses, fishing, walking and the unusual activity of letter boxing, which is ideal for walkers. There are many exciting spots for bird watchers and deer watchers. Dartmoor ponies can be found close to the property. The extensive coastline of the southwest peninsula offers endless opportunities to enjoy water sports, surfing or just a day at the seaside, all very close to Bovey Tracey. Buckfast Abbey and the busy market town of Newton Abbot are close by, and a visit to Widecombe-in-the-Moor is a must. There are many NT properties within driving distance, and vibrant Totnes with its steam trains is 10 miles distant. From here, a boat trip can be taken to Dartmouth for a fun day out. A visit to Devon would not be complete without a Devon cream tea; there are many tearooms on Dartmoor. Beach 11 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

12 steps to entrance. All on first floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel inc). Electricity CH, elec, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric Cooker. Microwave. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car). Friday to Friday.
