Close by, the seaside resort of Cromer with its sandy beach, popular promenade and famous end of pier show also offers a cinema, Amazonia Zoo and traditional seaside amusements. A little further along the coast, discover Blakeney Point, which offers trips to see the seals, or Wells-next-the-Sea, with its picturesque quay, mix of quaint and traditional seaside shops, and not to forget the narrow gauge railway, which is a must. Norfolk’s top tourist attraction, Blickling Hall, once home of the Boleyn family, is close by, as is the town of Holt, famous for its boutique shops and great places to eat. In fact, there are many stately homes and National Trust properties to visit in the area, along with some wonderful nature reserves. Take a trip to the Norfolk Broads, where you can hire a day boat, or join an organised trip, which provides both a haven for wildlife and a relaxing way to spend a day. It’s also worth planning a day in the medieval city of Norwich, famous for its Norman castle, stunning cathedral and numerous museums.
