Further afield, 30 minutes, are the stunning Hope Valley, Goyt Valley and the Roman Lakes. The market towns of Ashbourne and Matlock are within easy driving distance, 40 minutes, as is Bakewell, 20 minutes, home to the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall.
