Conveniently located on the famous ‘Road to the Isles,’ and within easy reach of Fort William, the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’, Fassfern is an ideal base for those looking to explore this fabulous area of Scotland, with its amazing history, outstanding scenery and glorious wildlife. There are many local attractions including the Glenfinnan Monument, Nevis Range Ski Centre and the World Championship mountain bike course. Take a trip on the famous Jacobite steam train (Hogwarts Express) from Fort William to Mallaig. Experience historic Glencoe, with its magnificent mountain ranges, or enjoy a visit to Oban, the ‘Gateway to the Isles’. The islands of Skye, Rum, Muck, Eigg and Canna can be visited from nearby Mallaig and Arisaig, or from Lochaline a short ferry crossing will allow you to explore Mull and Iona. For those who enjoy a day on the beach, the White Sands of Morar are a short drive away, or further afield Ardnamurchan Peninsula , the most westerly point of mainland Britain, is home to Sanna Bay.
