Situated in the small village of Niton, this cosy, period, 17th-century, terraced holiday cottage offers an ideal base for exploring all that the island has to offer. It is close to the beautiful south coast with its golden beaches, as well as being on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with stunning walks and cycle routes. Blackgang Chine is nearby, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, and The Needles at Alum Bay is within easy reach. Attractions include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Pearl, Dinosaur Isle, a donkey sanctuary and Calbourne Water Mill, which has a 17th century working watermill. Osborne House and Gardens (Queen Victoria’s holiday residence) and Carisbrooke Castle are a short distance away. The sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes, and the popular resorts of Shanklin and Sandown are nearby. The island can be explored from the open-top buses that stop regularly at various collection points. There are many beautiful walks to discover along the heritage coastline, and plenty of sandy or shingle beaches, coves and bays. Outdoor pursuits include excellent scenic walking, cycling, riding and fishing. Beach 11/2 miles, village pub 1 mile and Post Office 200 yards. Shops 200 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
