Johnny Joe's is a gem of a traditional family run pub and is located in Crushendall in the gorgeous Glens of Antrim. It is a popular spot with both locals and tourists who come for the authentic and unique experience it provides. It is an intimate spot with a decor that is warm and welcoming and reminiscent of someones home, creating a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. What you won't find here is commercial music being piped out or a television screen in sight but you will get a rich social experience with impromptu sing songs and music sessions being a regular occurrence and the opportunity to talk to the locals, a step back in time but a welcome one. Friday nights generally mean traditional Irish music sessions and in the summer months these sessions are extended to Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays as well. There is a restaurant located upstairs here that has a diverse and innovative menu that ill appeal to all, the food is of a very high standard, made using the best of local produce, beautifully cooked and presented and superb value for money.
